On July 5th I posted a giveaway of some Moringa seeds from a fellow HBN blogger. I entered but I unfortunately did not win. Not to be deterred from what seemed like a great addition to our little farm I ordered 12 of these seeds from Karen Coghlan over at Blue Yonder Urban Farms. The purchase went very smoothly and the seeds came in very quickly. They were well packaged and came with a very useful insert that helped with planting. I decided that I want to place mine in various locations on the property so I started my seeds out in spare pots and Karen wasn’t lying when she said they have a great sprout rate. Out of 12 seeds 12 sprouted but I lost one to the cats (because for whatever reason they insist on trying to sleep in any available flower pot). They are doing great and growing quickly. If you would like more information on the benefits of growing Moringa check out Angi Schneider over at Schneider Peeps. She has a great post on all the benefits of Moringa. I can’t wait until these trees are big enough to transplant to their forever locations. Have a great day and God bless!
