We were looking for something simple to throw together for supper one night about a year ago and came up with this recipe. We haven’t had it again until last night but it was delicious and super simple so I thought I would share it with you guys.
Ingredients:
- One head of cabbage, chopped
- One sweet onion, chopped
- Sausage – we use 8 smaller sausages and prefer Andouille sausage but you can use whatever sausage you prefer in whatever amount makes your heart happy
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: Approximately 15 min
Put all the ingredients in your skillet (I use our electric skillet because it is the only thing I have large enough to hold the entire batch of ingredients), saute with butter until the sausage is browned and the cabbage and onions are soft (but not mushy, think al dente). Season with cayenne, black pepper, salt, and minced garlic. Serve hot and enjoy. Have a great day and God bless!
