Something I have been struggling with in my life recently is peace. Less stress. Somedays I feel so immensely overwhelmed with my “to do list”, my paying job, the blog, trying to find ways to earn some real income from our little farm, and everything else, that as always, Satan is there to do whatever he can to steal my peace. As we saw in this week’s Manna Monday post, Satan is the accuser of brethren. He comes like a lion seeking to devour. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy. That is his only purpose and he is cunning. He steals into our thoughts and uses our voice to convince us that we are failures. That we aren’t worthy. That we can’t possible get everything done that we need to get done right this minute! Whatever it takes to steal our peace. That’s why this week’s From the Farm Blog Hop favorite could not have come at a better time. My friend Tracy over at Our Simple Homestead has a great little post with some ideas to help you in finding a more peaceful life. They are all wonderful tips and I love the idea of this post. There is only one thing that I would add. No matter which of these options you choose to use, or even if you choose to use them all, take that time to spend a moment with God. In those moments of quiet, let the Holy Spirit refresh your soul so that when Satan comes and tries to steal that peace you are working to find, he will instead discover a well armed saint prepared to fend off his wily attacks. A warrior who has found their rest in the Lord Jesus and can not be defeated by the fiery darts of the enemy. Thanks Tracy for sharing such a wonderful post.
