If you follow us on Facebook or social media, then you have seen the pictures of our duck house. We are obsessed with adding ducks to our little farmstead. We plan to use the eggs for our baking/cooking needs instead of our chicken eggs. We look forward to giving them a try and we plan to place our order very soon for hatching eggs. We intend to hatch them along side this year’s batch of chicks. Our friend Janet Garman from Timber Creek Farm has a great little post that I picked as my favorite for this week. She points out why you should consider adding some ducks and geese to your homestead or farm. I’m not 100% sold on the geese yet, but I’ll definitely be keeping it in mind.
