Many of the articles we write or share here tend to be oriented toward those with a few acres to homestead on. That is mostly due to the fact that we have a few acres, but we understand that not everyone has a few acres. Or even an acre. But don’t be disheartened. You can homestead wherever you are, even in an apartment. Containers, raised beds, and vertical pallet gardens will allow you to maximize the small spaces you have available. If you live in a town with a community garden consider investing some of your gardening skills there. If you aren’t sure if there is a community garden near you, or if you would like to start your own you can check out the American Community Garden Association for information, tips, and resources. If you are in need of some encouragement to get started with urban homesteading our friend from Little Blog on the Homestead is sharing the story of how she has homesteaded in several different urban locations. So get outside and start homesteading no matter where you are. Have a great day and God bless!
