You probably think I’m crazy. One day I’m talking about fall chores and winding down your garden for the year and now here I am talking about seed soaking. That’s a spring subject, right!? Not necessarily. Many places have a fall planting season and if you are a little behind the ball for fall planting then soaking your seeds will help to speed up germination time. Seed soaking isn’t just about speeding things up, but now is the perfect time to take advantage of that handy little benefit. Gardening Know How has a great article about this very subject. Fall planting is perfect for any plant that is frost hardy, can grow in waning sunlight hours, and prefers milder temperatures. Most spring plants can grow well in the fall as well. Plant according to your zone. If you are unsure of your zone you can find it here. Happy seed soaking, fall planting, and have a great day. God bless!
